Who is the course suitable for?
This course is perfect for starter dressmakers age 18+ who already know how to sew with relative confidence on your machine, and will not need help threading it in class.
You have successfully completed several starter projects already, and are ready to start making clothes or doing alterations.
This course is NOT suitable for those who do not know how to sew on a machine, or need help threading/using/understanding a sewing machine. This is because there is no time to teach these skills during the course. (See our Absolute Beginners Introduction To Sewing if you need to learn how to sew on a machine.).
How old do you need to be to take part in the class?
You must be age 18 or over to take part in the class. Those aged 12 to 17 can attend a booked class, provided they are accompanied by a parent/guardian who is also booked into the same class.
Do I need to bring a sewing machine with me?
Yes – you bring your own machine, as you are already used to sewing on it.
Should you not own a machine, we can hire a machine for class for a small fee. Simply add machine hire onto the booking at checkout and it will be ready for you in class.
How many students are in the class?
8 students maximum are in the class. We specifically keep classes small to ensure you get loads of one-to-one tuition with your tutor.
