About MaryRose

MaryRose McGrath designs from her private studio in Belfast, following thirteen years as a
Senior Womenswear Designer and Trend Forecaster in the London fashion industry.
After graduating with a first class honours degree from Manchester Metropolitan
University, her final collection was shown at Graduate Fashion Week, profiled by The
Guardian and photographed by Rankin. She went on to design for leading brands
including M&S, Matthew Williamson, Debenhams, Oasis and Arcadia, with her work
featured in Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire.

On returning to Northern Ireland, MaryRose spent four years as a freelance Womenswear
Designer and Trend Forecaster for A|Wear, part of the Brown Thomas Group.
She later became the Bespoke Bridal Designer at House of Fraser Belfast, where she
created the first UK replica of Catherine Middleton’s wedding gown. Unveiled at Victoria
Square Belfast within 22 hours of the Royal Wedding, the gown attracted worldwide press
attention.

This rare combination of international fashion industry experience and couture
craftsmanship informs every aspect of MaryRose’s work, from proportion and silhouette to
construction, couture techniques and meticulous finishing.
Today, MaryRose creates a limited number of bespoke bridal gowns and luxury
Communion dresses each year, drawing on three decades of design experience to create
gowns of exceptional beauty, individuality and craftsmanship.
